COMMERCIALIZING CHRIST
Why are our pastors and churches dishonouring the house called by God’s Name, and teaching their congregations to do the same? It’s not just a matter of where God dwells; it’s also a matter of the respect, or lack of, that we show God Himself in this way. And the impact that has on the saved and the unsaved.
Jesus boasted that, under His ministry, the poor had the Gospel preached to them. Peter condemned the newly-saved and baptized Simon the Sorcerer for asking to purchase the power of God. Yet our churches presume to charge for the ministry of the Word! AND WE BUY AND SELL IN THE HOUSE OF GOD, and RENT IT OUT!!
7 For the priest’s lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of Hosts.
8 But ye are departed out of the way; ye have caused many to stumble at the law; ye have corrupted the covenant of Levi, saith the LORD of Hosts.
