HIS STRENGTH IS MADE PERFECT IN OUR WEAKNESS!

The more one reads Scripture the more one sees, continually, repeatedly, and over-and-over, how God describes His absolute requirement, that man rely on HIM, completely, and Him ALONE, for EVERYTHING!  And just how EVIL He declares anyone who feels they can accomplish it themselves, without relying on HIM, and Him ALONE!  (It’s an attitude thing!)

1 Woe to the rebellious children, saith the LORD, that take counsel, but not of Me; and that cover with a covering, but not of My Spirit, that they may add sin to sin:
2 That walk to go down into Egypt, and have not asked at MY mouth; to strengthen themselves in the strength of Pharaoh, and to trust in the shadow of Egypt!
Isaiah 30:1-2  The BIBLE

7 Lo, this is the man that made not God his strength; but trusted in the abundance of his riches, and strengthened himself in his wickedness.

Psalms 52:7  The BIBLE

1 Woe to them that go down to Egypt for help; and stay on horses, and trust in chariots, because they are many; and in horsemen, because they are very strong; but they look not unto the Holy One of Israel, neither seek the LORD!
Isaiah 31:1  The BIBLE

5 Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.

Jeremiah 17:5  The BIBLE

In the New Testament this is continued, and exemplified, by His requirement that we rely on HIM, and Him ALONE, for our Spiritual salvation, also!

8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9  The BIBLE

12 Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other Name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.
Acts 4:12  The BIBLE

That requirement started even before creation, and the Old Testament, and continues to this day!

9 Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,
II Timothy 1:9  The BIBLE

Imagine the utter arrogance of saying, “I need God to save me, and to do this or that, but … I don’t need Him for this OTHER, LITTLE thing!”  When we declare our own inability, even if we think we can do it, and we call on HIS ability, HE does it … perfectly.

9 And He said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for My strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather GLORY in my infirmities, that the power of CHRIST may rest upon me.

10 Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ’s sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong!
II Corinthians 12:9-10  The BIBLE

God says that, after relying on HIM, for SALVATION, how foolish it is, to rely on OURSELF for ANYTHING!

3 Are ye so foolish? having BEGUN in the Spirit, are ye now made perfect by the flesh?
Galatians 3:3  The BIBLE

13 I can do all things THROUGH CHRIST Which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13  The BIBLE

10 For who hath despised the day of SMALL things?
Zechariah 4:10  The BIBLE

Learn to declare to your Heavenly Father your inability even in the smallest, most insignificant of things, and ask HIM, throughout the day, to DO it FOR you (not merely to HELP you)!  NOTHING is to small!  See how much you can trust HIM for!  Like a Father with his child, He LOVES to do it FOR us!

LET Him!
