To many people, if the Bible appears, or is claimed, to contradict nature/science/history, etc., they claim that it is the Bible that is wrong. Their belief in God is contingent/dependent upon whether other things agree with it! For them, their own wisdom/knowledge is their basis for belief. God, and His Bible rely on THEIR knowledge and agreement. Their god is their own understanding!

3 For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?
4 God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged.

So:
God and the Bible are Right. Period.

“Science,” is man’s interpretation of nature, God’s physical creation.

When it is claimed that nature (science) proves the Bible wrong, the possibilities:
– Man’s understanding of history, nature (science) is wrong;
– Man’s application of history, nature (science) is wrong;
– Man’s claims about history, nature (science) are lies;
– Our understanding of the Bible/God is wrong;
– Our application of the Bible is wrong;
– Our claims about God are lies.

If we don’t understand history, nature (science) or the Bible, or what God Is doing, OUR UNDERSTANDING is wrong. Or OUR APPLICATION of our understanding is wrong. Or rebellious.

But:
God and the Bible are Right. Period.
